If u are gonna put a floor and carpet in u can spill a oil base or I'm sure there are better paints for application at an overobundance rate ,let it set up and u have double coverage on the rivets from inside,u will cover it any how,I would think double coverage would be very little chance of ever a leak.if so ,so minor u would prob never know it.

I had a 20' fiberglass boat with the garmin force and did fine. Does it jerk these aluminum boats around too much or is it smooth like on the larger boats? Looking at building one myself

Quite a helpful video, thanks. Haven't seen many videos clearly articulate how to wire the switch panel and fuse box together. The panels come pre-wired with fuses installed, and only one live cable out (no jumper). it seems like they're operating as fuse box alternatives. This was helpful!

Damn, That turned out CLEAN af. I'm just watching to get an idea of how it's gonna be doing my sit on top kayak. The factory stuffed that was on it got ruined somehow. I'm still debating on something with straight lines really similar to what you got or go with the one that has diamonds. Not sure if one has an advantage over the other with grip or not.

I’m going to do this to a Nitro that I just bought. The carpet “seals” the space around the lids, what is the recommendation to make up for that lost seal? Or is it even necessary to have that tight fit around the storage spaces?

Great video and interview. This is just a snapshot of the first iteration of these motors and systems. If I was a billionaire and was designing an unlimited budget 35 footer, I’d consider putting these 40 horse electrics between two big 300+ gas outboards in a trips setup. Having a completely redundant propulsion system would be awesome, and it would be great to use in no wake channels and docking, or fishing to just keep position. Trim the gassers up when on electric, and tilt the electric up when under gas. A bit much maybe, but rich folk do crazier shit than that in custom boats. People are putting in 500 amp hours just for a house battery setup anyway.

Good thing to get the cracks and crevices in the wood grain is to use a scuff pad! Works well so you don’t have to worry about the paint peeling along the grain. Great video!

800lbs for 10kwh of LFP batteries?!?! Anyone who knows BEV's, know that a Tesla Model 3 SR has a 55kwh LFP that weighs "only" around 1200lbs. That means if someone can integrate the battery into the hull, a 25kwh battery (2.5x the runtime) would be possible for less than 600lbs! There's still a HUGE amount of improvement available out there!

Fantastic job! I am now inspired to do that with my old new boat. Question about the wiring. I am running a dedicated 14Gauge power to the bow for the fish finder and Livescope to the back of the boat on a dedicated battery (what you did). Can you wire that into the battery kill switch that you have under the console so that the switch kills everything in the boat? Also, I would like to add versatrack to the boat as well. Have you come across any good options? Following your channel; love your work!!!.
